POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Centre Operations Trainee works to assist with the staff of centre facilities, co-ordinate, manage and supervise the Hawthorn Campus, customer service desk and operations. The trainee is responsible for the distribution of information at the Hawthorn Sports Desk related to the core service areas and facilities, including:

• Memberships
• Events
• Health and fitness programs
• University sport
• Camps
• Education and Training

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
• Respond to phone calls and e-mails
• Undertake cleaning of fitness centre
• Assisting members and stakeholders
• Policy and procedure updates
• Word processing
• Administration
• Marketing
• Process staff pays
• Education & training
• And more

QUALIFICATIONS
• A certificate III in either a Sport & Recreation or Fitness is desirable but not essential.
• Candidates must be organised, reliable and honest
• Have a genuine interest and knowledge in Sport and Recreation
• You must show the ability to prioritise and ensure the completion of tasks
• Candidates must have strong communication skills

The successful candidate will either study a certificate IV in fitness, sport & recreation or sport development. This position would be best suited toward a young mature person with a strong passion for health and fitness and assisting both students and staff in the in this area.

The traineeship is administered by the AFL SportsReady Limited Program and incorporates a 35 hour working week and the completion of a Certificate III in Sport & Recreation (Sports Administration).

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The role of the Hospitality Trainee is to provide the best service to the members and guests of the club. The position will require working closely with club house members and guests as well as other Kingswood staff in setting tables and delivering meals. Other requirements of the job include;
• Serving food and drinks
• Handle money and credit cards
• Welcoming guests and handing out menus
• Clear tables and return dishes to kitchen
• Arrange bottles and glasses
• General cleaning
• Stock control

• Assist in managing accounts payable
• Function and meeting control
• Professional communication service

The successful applicant will have:

The candidates need to have had worked / experience in an IT environment.

The role will require some lifting of equipment

The AFL SportsReady Trainee will be working on a day-to-day basis with the PE departments within the Secondary Schools.

Duties include:
Liaise with PE staff, to support them with the running of their classes
Coordinate PE external bookings (coaches and facilities)
Maintain set up and pack away equipment used in PE classes
Set up lunchtime activities
Assist other members of staff when using PE facilities
Attending school camps
Other duties as required

To be considered for these traineeships you will need:
Completion of VCE Year 12 in 2009
An interest in PE
To be able to commit to the full term of the traineeship (12 months)
To be willing and eager to work and contribute to a team environment

The AFL SportsReady Trainee will be exposed to all levels of IT support, but predominantly as a Desktop Support Officer.

Victorian Irrigation Supplies specialises in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to the Domestic, Turf, Commercial and Agricultural irrigation markets. Since being established in 1961, Victorian Irrigation Supplies has grown to be one of the largest irrigation companies in Victoria and now boasts a broad range of products and services coupled with an impressive client base.

The trainee will study a Certificate III in irrigation via online learning blending industry based experience and assessment. The standard 38 hour working week applies which includes 3 hours per week to complete the study component of the course (no class attendance required).

The Irrigation Technician trainee will be trained and supervised in all irrigation projects of the business including design, maintenance and installation of home irrigation systems, routine servicing of sporting ovals and working on custom designed irrigation systems at golf courses.

This position would be best suited toward a fit young person with an interest in the irrigation, plumbing or horticulture sector and enjoys working outdoors.
