The Collingwood Football Club Foundation and AFL SportsReady have partnered in a program that is designed to increase Indigenous participation in employment and training with a strong community football and local government involvement.
Collingwood Football Club and AFL SportsReady share a commitment to providing opportunities to enable improved sporting, leadership, education and employment outcomes for Indigenous Australians.
In order to stimulate change and to support Indigenous communities, the Collingwood Football Club Foundation together with AFL SportsReady has created the ‘Barrawarn’ program, a three year program aimed at providing young Indigenous people with education and employment opportunities in metropolitan and regional Victoria.
